Proud Mary's connection to the Santa Barbara region of Honduras began in 2012 when we were introduced to a small group of producers based around the town of PeƱa Blanca, near the shores of the stunning LakeĀ Yojoa. More than a decade later, that group has grown, and our relationships have deepened.āÆĀ
In 2018, we noticed that these producers were doing so well that their production was increasing faster than we could sell it. Enterā¦ Chicos Buenos (Good Guys). Chicos Buenos is a community blend we created with our producers in Santa Barbara, allowing us to continueĀ purchasingĀ more of their coffee. Because this coffee is a blend of several different lots, it scores higher than any of the individual componentsāit truly is greater than the sum of its parts.āÆĀ
For the 2025Ā harvest, the producers contributing to this blend areĀ Armando Guzman,Ā Javier Fernandez, Nahun Fernandez, andĀ Balbina Sabillon.āÆĀ
